Empowering Community Governance

In line with our dedication to empowering community involvement in governance processes, All in Bits proudly presents Eclesia, a versatile, configurable open source governance platform available to Cosmos chains. The first integration of Eclesia is the GovGen governance dApp that will enable the community to build, iterate and refine the governance processes that are being defined by the GovGen chain to help shape the potential outcome of AtomOne. The objective of the GovGen governance dApp is to ensure that users can easily participate in the governance process while engaging securely without compromising private keys.

The GovGen governance dApp was built so that you are never asked to share a private key, any seed or recovery phrase. For additional security, here are best practices for signing and broadcasting transactions using the GovGen CLI. It is recommended to follow these guidelines, but you can still use the tools that you are familiar with such as, Keplr, Leap or Cosmostation for interacting with the dApp.

In a world where blockchain governance plays a pivotal role in the success, sustainability and advancements of proof-of-stake networks, GovGen governance dApp empowers the community to participate and express sentiment over the future of their network by becoming active participants in chain’s future potential decisions. While governance mechanisms are crucial they sometimes fall short in effectively engaging users, resulting in low participation. GovGen governance dApp addresses this challenge by providing an intuitive platform for measuring governance sentiment, offering enhanced user experience and informed decision-making tools. The goal of the GovGen governance dApp is to empower the community to effortlessly participate in these types of processes by gauging community sentiment in regards to the potential outcome of AtomOne while making it more accessible to engage, regardless of their technical expertise or background.

Evolution of GovGen governance dApp

The code for the GovGen governance dApp will eventually become open source so that developers worldwide can tailor the codebase to their own blockchains. When this code is released, users will be able to connect their instance of Eclesia to their Commonwealth community and take advantage of the built-in integration to allow for discussions on the Commonwealth forum but also within the heart of the dApp itself.

Looking ahead, the future developments of the GovGen governance dApp will be exciting. From empowering users to create proposals directly on chain to unveiling intricate graphs that paint a vivid picture of governance dynamics, the dApp will continue to expand its feature set. Diving a little deeper, new features to allow users to see granular voting insights and individual user voting histories are on the development roadmap.
